Definition of Duplex and Super Duplex Steel
Duplex Steel: A hybrid stainless steel combining equal parts of austenitic and ferritic structures. It provides excellent strength and corrosion resistance, particularly against stress corrosion cracking and pitting.
Super Duplex Steel: An enhanced version of duplex steel with higher molybdenum and chromium content. It offers superior corrosion resistance, higher tensile strength, and is suitable for extreme environments like offshore and chemical processing.
